T
he Labor & Employment Law Section has a busy
March and April scheduled. This publication likely will
come out just after our annual Advanced Employment
Law Seminar on March 7. If you get it before the 7th, please
come join us at the Capital City Club for a full day of CLE
credit and some great speakers. In addition to our annual
update on developments in the field, we’ve added speakers
on class actions in employment cases, trade secrets,
settlement issues, and a celebration of Title VII of the Civil
Rights Act at 50. If you miss this year’s seminar, please
look for announcements of next year’s seminar. The annual
seminar is always educational and interesting, with plenty of
time to reconnect with old friends and make new ones.

In April, our rescheduled Happy Hour will finally take place.
Come toast the end of the snow and cold at the Lawyer’s Club
on April 24 at 5:30 p.m.
On March 26, The Labor & Employment Law Section, in
conjunction with Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, will host
a “Nuts and Bolts” employment law seminar to help prepare
local practitioners for volunteer opportunities with PBPA.
The seminar will cover general employment laws affecting
non-profit organizations, including guidance on the creation
