LAW DAY DREAM TEAM
2013 Law Day Dream Team Awards Presentation
T
he Law Day 2013 Dream Team, a collaboration of 12
influential Georgia organizations, received the ABA’s
Outstanding Activity Award during a Joint Awards
Luncheon of the National Conference of Bar Presidents,
National Association of Bar Executives, and the National
Conference of Bar Foundations, in Chicago on February 7,
2014. The Law Day 2013 Dream Team included: Atlanta
Bar Association, Atlanta Public Schools, Chief Justice’s
Commission on Professionalism, Gate City Bar Association,
Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association, Georgia
Association for Women Lawyers, Georgia Association of
Black Women Attorneys, Georgia Hispanic Bar Association,
the Multi-Bar Leadership Council, the National Center for Civil
& Human Rights, South Asian Bar Association of Georgia,
State Bar of Georgia, and the Stonewall Bar Association.
Rita A. Sheffey, President of the Atlanta Bar Association for
2011-2012 and current Secretary of the State Bar of Georgia
accepted the award on behalf of the Dream Team. Angela
Hinton, a member of the ABA Standing Committee on Public
Education and a former Law Day Outstanding Activity Award
selection committee member, presented the Dream Team
award this year.
