enriching experiences of my professional life. Friday also includes receptions for law school alumni. It is a great time to catch up with old classmates and favorite profes- sors. On Saturday, there are more meetings and more networking events, including the Pro Bono Bloody Mary Reception, a time to sip Mimosas or Bloody Marys while honoring and celebrating pro bono work and some of the heroes of legal aid work. The event always culminates with the Inaugural Gala on Saturday Night. The gala is a celebration of the incoming bar president and the start of a new bar year. There is always good food, good drinks, music, and dancing. And yet even with all of these events, there’s still always a little down time to enjoy the meet- ing location. In the past, I have taken time to go shopping, go to the spa, have a massage, or just relax in my room with some de- licious room service. However, this year, with a giant pool and sprawling ocean to enjoy, I had my lunch poolside and spent most of my free time lounging on the beach.
