he Atlanta Bar Lawyer Referral and Information Service
(LRIS) continues to shine and improve as a tremendous
resource for both our membership and the community
it services. This past year saw an expansion of office space,
staff and resources, while maintaining the budget and still
providing financial grants and assistance to aid the Pro Bono
community. As your chairman, I want to remind everyone that
our greatest resource is our own attorney community. The
largest single source of referrals is attorneys from around the
state. Yet, many attorneys are still not aware of this resource.
With that in mind, spread the word. LRIS offers attorneys a
terrific resource to assist those looking for help. Nobody wants
to send a client away empty handed. Clients get a qualified

consultation for little or no fee, and hopefully, the right lawyer
