Henry D. (“Hank”) Fellows, Jr., (right),
accepts the 2012 Atlanta Bar Association
Charles E. Watkins, Jr. Award. The purpose
of the award is to give public recognition to
individual members who have demonstrated
distinctive and sustained service to the
Atlanta Bar Association. Recognition is
not reserved for the older lawyer in honor
of decades of prior service, but may be
conferred upon the younger lawyer whose
service to the Association is of a distinctive
and durable quality.
For the first time in its 124 years the Atlanta Bar
Association will have women lawyers in the office
of President serving consecutively – Shown in the
historical moment are Incoming President Lynn
M. Roberson accepting the gavel from Outgoing
President Rita A. Sheffey.
