Atlanta, held June 1 at the offices of Alston + Bird LLP in Midtown. The Sutherland Asbill & Brennan team took home the coveted Challenge Cup, while Everybody Wins! Atlanta took home $25,000 to support the non-profit’s in-school literacy programs. In addition to the winner, the battle of wits and knowledge challenged teams from Morris Manning & Martin (runner-up), Alston + Bird, Cambridge Professional Group, Cohen Pollock, Deloitte, Duane Morris, FSB Fisher Broyles, Hawkins Parnell, Kilpatrick Townsend, KMPG, Littler Mendelson, Bryan Cave and Pachman Richardson. The evening was sponsored by Cambridge Partners, Alston + Bird, IKON and the Mary Brown Fund of Atlanta. Jeff Leonard, president of the Board of Everybody Wins! We’re so thankful that the Atlanta legal community turns out to support us and the competition gets fiercer and more fun every year.” About Everybody Wins! Atlanta Founded in 1997, Everybody Wins! Atlanta is a local affiliate of a national non-profit organization that pairs elementary school students at risk for academic failure with caring mentors who spend one-on-one time reading with them for one hour each week for an entire school year. The program currently serves low-income public elementary school students in the Cobb, Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett and Atlanta public school systems, and is funded through grants and corporate and private donations.
