Patton-Schmitt, TIP Development Director T ruancy Intervention Project Georgia and Staff Attorney Caren Cloud were recognized as recipients of the Fred Gray Social Justice Award by Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School on November 12, 2010. For the past three years, John Marshall has honored individuals and organizations for their commitment and fortitude in the struggle for civil and human rights. Past honorees include Attorney Fred Gray and The Ella Baker Center for Human Rights (2007), Dr. Reverend Joseph E. Lowery and The Joseph E. Lowery Institute for Justice and Human Rights (2008), and The Georgia Innocence Project (2009). TIP Georgia and Caren Cloud are obviously among impressive company. O n November 12, 2010, John Marshall hosted its 4th Annual Fred Gray Social Justice Seminar, and explored the theme of “Children in Crisis: Combating the Perils that Plague Today’s Youth.” As a recipient of this prestigious award, Caren Cloud was asked to serve as a panelist during the seminar after accepting her award. TIP director, Jessica Pennington, was on hand to accept the award for the agency. Congratulations to TIP Georgia and to Caren Cloud for this amazing recognition!
