My favorite international travel destination
is Italy. The history in Rome, coupled with
the natural beauty of places like the Cinque
Terre, are unmatched.

Last year I went on adult Spring Break
to Venice and Rome, and I can’t wait to
explore more!

My maternal great grandparents are originally
from County Cork and Monaghan, Ireland. They
immigrated to the United States in the early-
1900’s. My great Grandfather was named Michael
Sheridan. Shortly after arriving in the states, World
War I broke out. Michael enlisted in the Army and
served in Europe. He later returned home to his
family and worked as a street-car conductor. I have
always admired their courage to embark on this
journey along with Michael’s patriotism. To honor
his legacy, my wife Tracy and I named our son Michael. A picture of the late-Michael
Sheridan stays in our son’s room as a reminder of the sacrifices he made for our
family, and I believe he continues to watch over and protect us.

My father’s side of the family came from England-Scotland-Wales, quite early in our
country’s history. On my mother’s side, I descended from Danish circus people.
