Pro Bono Perspectives Introducing the first of a new series navigating community and legal industry issues. RYAN WALSH Jones Day rkwalsh @jonesday.com The Atlanta Bar Association presented Pro Bono Perspectives: How Lawyers Can Have an Outsized Impact Addressing Needs in the Atlanta Immigrant Community at the Georgia State University College of Law on February 5, 2020. The event focused on the needs of the local immigrant community and ways that the legal community can help meet those needs with support from local non- profits. Moderated by Charles T. Lester, Jr. 24 February/March 2020 (Eversheds Sutherland, retired), the panel of experienced leaders included Dr. Christina Marshall Brown (Fish & Richardson, PC), Monica Modi Khant (Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network), Christopher C. Marquardt (Alston & Bird, LLP) and Hon. Beverly B. Martin (United States Court of Appeals Eleventh Circuit). Atlanta Bar President Ryan K. Walsh (Jones Day) stated, β€œIt was a great honor to have the opportunity to introduce the panel at our recent Pro Bono Perspectives event, which was focused on pro bono assistance in the local immigrant community.
