Are you looking for an authen-
tic French Restaurant? Try At-
mosphère Bistro, located in an
adorable house on Piedmont
Avenue near the Ansley Park
neighborhood. The restaurant,
whose menu includes a number
of French classics, labels itself as
“a chic take on the French bistro.”
With something on the menu for
almost everyone, Atmosphère is
an appropriate, non-glitzy restau-
rant for any occasion, from date
night to Sunday brunch to lunch
with clients.
Inside Atmosphère, there is a bar
with stools and a few nearby tables.
The rest of the seating is in the
various small rooms of the house,
or on the patio. The small rooms
provide a romantic atmosphere,
while the patio can be enjoyable
when the weather is nice. However,
if it’s a busy time of day, the traf-
fic noise from Piedmont can be
a bit loud.
Atmosphère has limited parking,
but does offer valet parking for
dinner and Sunday brunch; the
fee is two dollars. Additionally,
the restaurant has a wheelchair
accessible ramp, making it easy
to get from your valet parked car
to the restaurant door.
On weekdays (with the exception
of Monday, as they are closed),
Atmosphère offers a “prix-fixe”
lunch with a limited menu. This
fixed-price lunch is $15.00 and
includes your choice of either an
appetizer and entrée or entrée
and dessert. With classics such as
croque monsieur (a melted ham
and swiss sandwich) and lemon
sorbet with raspberry coulis as
options, the prix-fixe lunch is a
good choice for a weekday lunch.
For dinner, Atmosphère’s menu
expands to include so many deli-
cious French dishes that you will
surely want to try them all! Review
the menu online before you come.
When you order, practice your
French with some of the waiters or
even the owners, married couple
Jean-Marc and Christine. French
bread and warm butter for the
table is complimentary. Addition-
ally, on Wednesdays from 6 p.m.
to 10 p.m., appetizers are half-off,
so you can save some money and
try more of Atmosphère’s deli-
cious offerings.
If you work in Midtown and want
to wait out rush hour in a lovely
place, Atmosphère is a top choice,
as they have a dazzling selection
of wines, cocktails, and mouth-
watering desserts. Additionally, At-
mosphère offers specials on their
wine and desserts. On Tuesdays,
bottles of wine are half off, and
on Thursday evenings, desserts
are half off. For authentic, deli-
cious French food for a variety
of occasions, Atmosphère is the
place to go.
