What is GAIN and what
does it accomplish?
The Georgia Asylum and
Immigration Network (GAIN)
mission is to provide free
immigration legal services
to victims of crime and
persecution. Since 2005, GAIN’s
programs have helped over 5,000
people and provided millions

Our two flagship programs
utilize recruitment, training,
and mentorship of volunteer
attorneys to ensure quality legal
representation. With clients
across the state of Georgia,
the backbone of our volunteer
workforce remains in Atlanta
with the overwhelming support
of Atlanta’s pro bono community.
GAIN attorneys and staff work
together to screen and qualify
cases for placement and provide
technical assistance throughout
the pendency of each case.
We also address our clients’
additional critical needs by
conducting needs assessments
for our clients and connecting
them with our extensive network
of community partners to receive
social and other legal services. be adding to our team with a
new Paralegal to support our
programs and a Legal Navigator
who will provide the crucial
social service connections that
our clients need in a prompt
and empathetic way. We will
also continue to increase our
work in social service needs
assessment
and
referrals.
Our vision is safety, freedom,
