Cultural exchange and travel through international CLEs .

I have always loved travelling . In 1995 , I got my first passport , and my passion turned toward international travel . However , I was still a young attorney , and I had my law practice to maintain . And , back in those days , it was not quite so easy to practice law remotely .

Fast forward to 2023 . I am on my third passport , and I ’ ve done a good amount of travel over the years . I have also discovered ways to mix business and pleasure to enable me to travel even more , while still running my law practice . Travel continuing legal education ( CLE ) programs is one of my strategies .
Scouring the internet , one will find that there are many travel CLE programs . Many are held at beach resorts , or on cruises . These CLE programs usually offer generic content , and many extracurricular travel benefits , including all-inclusive accommodations , planned activities , and meals on the ship or at the resort . Some programs also offer group tours to the main tourist sites in port cities or near the resort .
The Joint Family Law Conference and Networking Exchange in Barcelona , Spain ( Conference ), held in October 2022 , offered some of the above benefit plus a lot more . Like other travel CLE programs , the Conference was a good mix of Conferencerelated seminars and activities , and
