ATLANTA BAR ASSOCIATION From the Board We asked the Atlanta Bar and Atlanta Bar Foun- dation Board: What is one thing you are doing to set yourself up for a successful new year? Atlanta Bar Association Board of Directors I am trying to carve out thirty (30) minutes five days out of the week to hit the gym, so that mentally and physically, I am in the best shape I can be for myself, my colleagues, my friends, my loved ones, and my clients. Amy Cheng, Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarbor- ough LLP I plan to stay in an appreciative, grateful space so that I can handle any obstacle that comes my way and rejoice in all the good that I hope to come in 2019! Caren Cloud, Juvenile Court of Fulton County Atlanta Bar Foundation Board of Directors Time management. Louis Cohan, Cohan Law Group, LLC No resolutions! David Schaeffer, David Schaeffer Law Firm LLC 2019 is the year I am jumping on the bullet- journal train, using it to keep track of all of my to-do lists, events, and goal planning! Mary Ann Hanke, U.S. 11th Circuit Court of Appeals As a litigator, our work tends to be adversarial in nature. Success is often defined as 'wins v. losses,' but true success (and the practice of law) goes well-beyond courtroom victories. The words of Abraham Lincoln, “I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live up to what light I have,” have anchored my goals and ambitions for 2019. I am continuing to partner with the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy to help victims of abuse, as well as volunteering to visit the elderly through Christ the King. In sum, the greatest measure of success is the willingness to help and serve others. Kevin Patrick, Kevin Patrick Law I am trying to kick off my new year by having better time management skills.
