where you can talk comfortably
after work, Local Three easily fits
the bill. But if it is more than just
having a drink–you can make it an
experience as all the people I have
interreacted there are more than
happy to share their knowledge
and personal suggestions with you.
I must talk about their weekend
all you can eat brunch. I know you
cannot drive half of a block in this
city without bumping into a week-
end brunch special. Besides the
menu, Local Three stands apart as
the guests actually walk through
the incredible kitchen for a buffet
while interacting with the staff.
Like the other menus, the food is
fresh, local and sustainable, but the
diversity in the options continues
as well. Shrimp fried rice with col-
lard green kimchi sit side by side
with traditional scrambled eggs.
Starters included salad of bitter
greens, tomato soup flavored with
red curry and coconut milk, chick-
en liver mousse with black pep-
per lavosh and cheddar scallion
cornbread. I could make breakfast
just from those starters. Breakfast
included pancakes, custard french
toast, bacon, and their own deli-
cious breakfast potatoes. There is
also lunch faire available as part of
the buffet such as a quiche, pork
shoulder, one of the finest mac
and cheese in the city and an oven
roasted turkey panini. If you like
egg nog, the egg nog panna cotta
was dead on. Their biscuits may
be some of the best I have ever
had. All items stay fresh because
as you go through the kitchen the
line cooks are right there in front
of you cooking up a new batch.
Local Three has gone out of their
way like with all they do to make
it a true experience.
As immediate past chair of the
Family Law Section, I must divulge
that the section is now holding
their monthly breakfast meetings
at Local Three. When we reached
out to several restaurants in our
search for a new venue, the staff
at Local Three–specifically their
events and catering manager–was
quite receptive to our inquiry.
She made it very easy to move
our breakfasts there. The food at
the meetings is similar to week-
end brunch menu and the set up
continues as on the weekends in
the actual kitchen. Original dishes
continue to sit side by side with
standard breakfast faire. We hold
our meetings in the actual main
dining room, which the staff
move into a configuration that
matches one of a meeting hall.
They provide a microphone and
amplification so that we continue
to hold out meetings and have
guest speakers. It has been a re-
freshing change to be in a casual
and inviting environment at the
same time being served a great
buffet. Attendance has gone up.
The only downfall is no bourbon
at that time of the morning. But
in addition to marketing, attor-
neys can look at Local Three as
a unique but welcoming place to
hold a meeting.
all elements of their restaurant a
worthy experience.

Local Three is definitely worth a
visit–a great place to market over
a good meal or a good drink. In
addition to great fresh and local
food, the folks there have made
