should consider clerking for a trial court judge. While
most legal internships allow law students to apply
classroom theory to real life practice, clerkships with trial
court judges can be uniquely beneficial. Trial-level judicial
interns gain the invaluable experience of learning the law
from the perspective of the court, gaining exposure to a
broad spectrum of case types and legal issues, developing
practical legal research and writing skills. While the
