Summer Law Internship Program 22nd SLIP Program Comes to Close By S. Wade Malone Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP [email protected] T he 22nd Summer Law Internship Program came to an end on Friday, July 18, 2014, with an Appreciation Breakfast for Interns, Hosts and Sponsors hosted by the State Bar of Georgia. Over 200 people were in attendance. Over a six-week time span, a record 44 interns from a record 30 schools interned for public interest groups, private law firms, corporations and judges. During the Summer Law Internship Program’s 22 years of existence, over 500 internships have been made available to Atlanta’s youth. The Interns attended weekly meetings where they discussed legal issues past and present.
