1 ) It brings me great joy to see the Bar , its sections , and its members back in person and thriving .
2 ) Congratulations to Toni Roberts on her first Bar year ! The Atlanta Bar is so fortunate to have her as its new executive director . It ’ s never easy to start a new leadership role at a new organization , but I want to congratulate Toni on a successful and effective innaugural year . I look forward to many more successes .
3 ) Member recruitment is a team sport ! The Atlanta Bar exists for its members and it ’ s time to gear up for membership renewal season . If you value being a member of the Atlanta Bar , tell your friends and colleagues and ensure they too join or renew their membership with the Atlanta Bar .
Looking back on the 2022 – 2023 Bar year , I am especially grateful for three things :
1 ) It ’ s been ever so meaningful to reconnect with Atlanta Bar colleagues and friends in-person again .
2 ) I have enjoyed the programming and events this year , like the Litigation Section ’ s breakfast CLEs .
3 ) I truly appreciate all the hard work the Atlanta Bar staff has done to help grow the organization and reach out to new members .
