Georgia Asylum & Immigration Network (GAIN) Monica Modi Khant Executive Director, GAIN mkhant@georgiaasylum. org In a jurisdiction with one of the lowest asylum grant rates in the nation, the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network (GAIN) has become a beacon of hope and a vehicle for pro bono services for many vulnerable immigrant com- munities. Founded in 2005 with the help of Atlanta’s generous pro bono legal community, GAIN provides free immigration legal services to 14 April 2018 victims of crime and persecution, which includes asylum seekers and victims of human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual as- sault. By combining direct repre- sentation from GAIN’s legal team with a pro bono referral system that recruits, trains, and mentors volunteer attorneys from the At- lanta legal community, GAIN has provided more than $8.1 million dollars in pro bono legal servic- es and represented clients from
