T
he Environmental and Toxic Tort Section has been
and will continue to be busy with events. We hosted
our Winter Social at Cooks and Soldiers on February
10. All who attended agreed that the food and wine were
fabulous, but that the company was even better – a high
bar. Later this month, we will be presenting a CLE Program
discussing the relationship among lawyers, clients and
environmental consultants.
The lineup of presenters,
including environmental lawyers and consultants, is top
notch. Later in the spring, we are planning an event with
the Public Interest Law Section – possible ideas include tree
The Official News Publication of the Atlanta Bar Association
planting or a river cleanup. If there are other events our
members would like for us to explore, we would love to hear
about them.
We would like to thank our board of directors for their hard
work in helping make these events and programs possible:
Shelly Ellerhorst (Section Chair), Richard Glaze (Vice
Chair/Chair-Elect), Kimberley Hale (Secretary), Randall
J. Butterfield (Treasurer), Richard A. Horder (Immediate
Past Chair), Members-at-Large: Hon. Stephanie S.
Benfield, S. Christopher Collier, and Jody Rhodes.
