to support the Center's bold, historic and future-focused
mission." The Center relies on support from the Justice
Society to ensure the success and completion of this highly
anticipated institution and its programming.
In preparation for the grand opening next spring, the Center
will host several educational and cultural events in the local
and national community. On April 22, 2013, the Center will
partner with the Atlanta Bar Association, The State Bar of
Georgia, and ten additional local bar associations to host
Law Day 2013 in Atlanta. You can learn more about this

This spring, the Center will partner with the Atlanta Braves
to host Atlanta Civil Rights Game Weekend, a weekend of
events commemorating the role of the modern American
Civil Rights Movement in athletics. The weekend kicks off
Friday, May 31, 2013, and will include a luncheon at the 755

Club on the role of sports in breaking barriers and supporting
social change. The weekend will conclude with the Atlanta
Braves versus the Washington National game, where players
will sport Negro League Baseball uniforms. Visit the Center

One short year remains before the much-anticipated National
Center for Civil and Human Rights is open to the public.
The experience of visiting the Center will reach far beyond
the structural framework; the emotions, realizations, and
reflections of each individual will produce a lasting impact
