Ugly Tech Blank
The Ugly Stik GS2 comes with a blank called Ugly Tech
of which is constructed using graphite and fibreglass.
There are advantages and disadvantages to this blank
construction as far as I am concerned.
Advantages:
Tough and will be able to take a beating.
Good amounts of absorption at the tip of which is good
if a fast running brute takes your bait.
Highly sensitive tip of which is great for bottom fishing
(not with live bait).

Disadvantages:
It becomes tip heavy of which translates to the rod being
weighty (comparing to modern rods).
