The fishes were in a playful mood surfacing all over the area from the middle of the
pond towards the hut (platforms) during
our first hour. I cast out a big ball of dough,
placed the rod on the floor, secured the
fishing line to a bottle, and waited for the
bottle to fall (Bungsamran style fishing). It
was both frustrating and exciting. The line
kept moving in and out, a sign of smaller
fishes licking on the bait but just not taking
it.
