The Elite’s blank comes with Shakespeare’s Ugly Tech blank construction that uses more fibreglass as
compared to most other modern
rods that are made of graphite. This
gives good amounts of flexibility
and toughness, yet it increases the
weight of the rod. Somehow the
Elite’s weight is not as heavy as expected and falls within acceptable
limits.
