s Weight wise, The Chief is heavier at the tip section as with many lure casting rods. This is also due to its blank being built with thicker walls. A thicker blank wall means toughness and better durability but with these benefits comes the added bit of weight. The Chief is not heavy but it is not light either. The Chief is made to yank fish out of cover (areas with snags). Fishes such as haruans (brown snakehead / Channa striata) that ambush fishes from cover will find The Chief to be a strong contender to battle with. Tomans (giant snakehead / Channa micropeltes) on the other hand will find it a challenge shooting towards snags. 83
