Back at our lab we put the Marushin through the
torture test. The model we had with us for testing purposes is the FCC-662M rated 10-20lb. We
cranked up the reel drag until we hit almost maximum and then we flex the rod at a 45 degree angle and moving backwards slowly. We managed
to get the Marushin to hit almost 16lb and that is
plenty enough for most types of fishing.
