When spring begins to knock off some
of the lingering ice on your favorite lake
it is time to start using reaction lures.
One crankbait that seems to excel quite
well when water temperatures are on the
rise and fish begin getting back into their
heavy feeding pattern is the squarebill
crankbait. A squarebill crankbait is usually two to three inches long and earns
its name due to the clear bill on the front
of the bait that looks like a small square.
Squarebills are usually meant to reach
water depths ranging from 4ft-6ft of water and are designed to search and cover
a large area of shallow water where aggressive bass roam.
