Direct
Angle Of
Penetration
The tip of the hook point is turned
slightly inwards towards the eye (ring)
of the hook to allow a more direct
angle for hook penetration as the applied force on the hook comes from
the hook eye. This allows the hook
point to penetrate deeply. The curved
in hook points also reduce the chances
of the hook dislodging when the fish is
jumping or thrashing about during the
fight, trying to escape.
The hook bend is forged for additional
strength.
