This is probably the shortest shank
single hook for lures I have seen on
the market. A short hook shank also
makes the hook stronger against being bent open. However a short shank
makes setting the hook more difficult,
this hook design compensates for the
short hook shank by having a rolled-in
hook point.

The point is a needle point design.
