The eye of a fish is quite similar to that of us humans in a sense that they too have cells called cones that can see colour. Both humans and fishes have retinas in our eyes. Within the retina are photosensitive cells called cones and rods that converts light into signals (somewhat like an old film camera) and sends it to the brains. While cones see well during the day and in colour, rods helps us see at night. 319
