Nothing beats a field test and we
decided to have fun at a commercial saltwater fishing pond
in Jugra (small coastal town
off Selangor, Malaysia). There
we threw it into the ring where
dragon groupers and red drums
awaited to unleash some torture.
The dragon groupers obliged and
in no time battles upon battles
ensued. The Berkley Trough
Dough rod took the sudden
dashes of these groupers really
well as expected with softer tip
rods. It took more effort to control these finned brutes but rod
fought well and gladiators were
landed.
