Scent Bomb
Okay, this is not a general term but something I made up during my time designing products for one of the world’s largest
fishing tackle companies. A scent bomb is
something you cast out and allow it to drop
to the bottom of the area you intend to fish.
The scent leaks out slowly creating trails to
what we call the fishing zone.

What I used to do was to use a little plastic bottle, make holes in it, and place lots of
cotton in it until it is quite compact. I then
slowly fill it up with scent (at the pond) and
cast it out to where I am fishing.
The scent will be released slowly creating a
trail to your fishing zone. This in turn attracts fishes to your zone and then to your
bait. This has worked well for me.
Do note that the scent will run out sooner
or later and you will have to reload your bait
as well as scent bomb with more scent. Also
try not to break the scent trail.
