An Enhancer
All baits used for bottom fishing such
as various meats, insects, worms,
dough, fruits, etc. already come with
some form of scent. The use of scent
here is to act as an enhancer to the
original scent and attract fishes within
the scent trail to check out the bait. Of
course if the scent used is unsuitable for
the said lake or pond, the opposite effect will happen.
Encourages Fish To Bite
Sometimes you may have your bait sitting at the bottom for awhile and you
know that the fishes are there. For some
reason they do not seem to want to
take the bait. They know that the bait is
there and something seems off. Using
scent here can help trigger a bite if the
right scent is used.
