Be sure to check out the paved path just past Carrier Park that heads south along the river towards Hominy Creek , where the French Broad Outfitters operates an outpost with a riverside bar , music , and food trucks .

Few people know the 8,000-acre Biltmore Estate is home to miles of beautiful trails to explore . From sweet singletrack and doubletrack open to mountain bikes to secluded hikes through old growth forests and a beautiful forest designed by Gifford Pinchot , there ’ s a little something for everyone at the Biltmore . Bring your own bike or rent one at the Bike Barn to gain access to the system of overlapping loops through picturesque terrain ideal for beginner and intermediate riders . For those looking for easy terrain , the paved trails and gravel roads that run along the French Broad River offer great views on mostly flat terrain . Tickets to the Biltmore Estate are required for access .
