JEALOUSY AND ITS AFFECT ON COUPLES......

BY:ALYSSA CARVER

In todays society there is a flaw contaminating the world. This flaw is jealousy, and the strength of jealousy is unlike any weapon. There are those people who actually have proof of cheating, those who have hear things from another and automatically believe the spouse is cheating. When these thoughts or insecurities arise it leads to mistrust and most traumatic situations.as we saw last week in the conversations between Iago and Othello Iago was surely poisoning Othello’s brain. Othello goes as far as killing Desdemona in the end. “What noise is this? Not dead? not yet quite dead? / I that am cruel am yet merciful; / I would not have thee linger in thy pain: So, so. /”(5.2)

Iago does a very good job of brainwashing people. Iago has cause the lack of trust between the newly wedded couple and has led to the death of not only Desdemona but Othello as well. Even Othello the great portrayed weakness, he was a man of pride he was proud of his accomplishments but suddenly the jealous over took him and he lost it. Jealousy is not good on any relationship; it can lead to beating and even murder. It’s best to trust a person who you are going to be with. You should always take there word unless there is valid proof. Don’t let jealousy make a name of you.
