My first visit to the East bank was 25 years ago, and a few years later I crossed the river Jordan for the first of many times. Already as a child I was fascinated by the region’s history and culture, above all its people and societies, and have spent my time studying and working on issues related to the Middle East region. I see cultural cooperation as a bridge to enhancing relations between people in different parts of the world. With my images I attempt to capture the ‘soul’ and the essence of different places and people, and to illustrate their rich and beautiful common historical and cultural heritage. ” charlotta sparre 116 The Art of Resistance?
