A VILLA DESIGNED TO ACCOMMODATE
Designed for hospitality, the villa offers generous amenities dedicated to comfort: a cinema room, a gym, a private office, a wine cellar revealed beneath a glass partition in the entrance hall, and a completely redesigned outdoor space around the swimming pool. New social areas are integrated into the landscape: a pool house, a lounge near a preserved ruin, a pétanque court, a playground, and a golf practice area.

“ For this villa, it was essential, of course, to tick all the functional boxes, but we wanted to go further,” emphasizes Pierre- Guillaume Mathern.“ Each space had to have its own personality, its own unique detail. We worked with materials, textures, and light so that the villa tells a story: that of a place that has been transformed, but without denying its origins. This search for a balance between individuality and universality guided each of our decisions.”
Villa Elaïa draws inspiration from the Mediterranean character of its site: natural materials— wood, stone, and vegetation— extend the presence of the landscape into the living spaces, while a series of outdoor areas invites residents to fully enjoy the estate. Blending preserved heritage with striking contemporary touches, Marcoux Mathern & Associés has created a meticulous and highly architectural transformation with this project, ready to welcome its future residents.
