Furniture was also designed in response to the constraints of the existing townhouse. Restricted access affected both delivery and installation, so a number of bespoke pieces were produced with removable arms or legs. Joinery dimensions and assembly requirements were carefully coordinated with the building’ s circulation routes.
The interior has a restrained, timeless character intended to remain relevant to different occupants and patterns of use. Rather than assigning every room a single purpose, Hill House Interiors created a series of composed spaces that can evolve between living, working, entertaining and leisure. The result is a period townhouse that feels settled and complete while retaining the adaptability required for its long-term commercial and residential use.
