MAYA HOTEL COURCHEVEL 1850 NOW OPEN AND SET TO REDEFINE ALPINE LUXURY

Maya Collection’ s newest property debuts in Courchevel ahead of 2025 / 2026 ski season.
A new era of discreet, designled hospitality arrives in the French Alps today as Maya Hotel Courchevel 1850 officially opens its doors. Launching at the start of Courchevel’ s landmark 80th anniversary season, the intimate property introduces a refined blend of Monaco’ s glamour and Japanese serenity to one of the world’ s most prestigious ski resorts. With an enviable location and easy access to the slopes, the boutique hotel has been conceived as a peaceful, highly curated hideaway for travellers who value privacy, craftsmanship and understated sophistication.
Maya Hotel Courchevel 1850 presents a harmonious interplay of European craftsmanship and minimalist Japanese influences. Natural wood, stone, bronze and metal are layered to create a cocoon-like environment that feels both modern and timeless. The hotel offers bespoke rooms and suites, including two exceptional accommodations: the Lalique Suite and the Lalique Apartment, each featuring private treatment rooms and exclusive crystal pieces designed especially for the property by Maison Lalique. In the lobby, a custom chandelier composed of 60 floating Lalique crystal anemones – a poetic nod to falling snow – sets a serene, sculptural tone from the moment guests arrive.
Wellbeing plays a central role in the guest experience with the launch of Maya Well x Forlle’ d, a nextgeneration wellness programme created in collaboration with the award-winning Japanese beauty brand. Treatments are available in the dedicated wellness area as well as privately within the Lalique Suite and Lalique Apartment, offering a discreet retreat for guests seeking complete tranquillity.
The hotel’ s culinary statement is MayaBay Courchevel 1850, the first Alpine outpost of the globally acclaimed MayaBay brand, renowned for its elevated Thai- Japanese fusion cuisine in Monaco, Dubai, Porto Montenegro and soon West Palm Beach. The menu blends Thai and Japanese flavours offering an extensive selection of sushi, rolls, dim sum, curries and sharing plates. Signature dishes include the Caviar Croustillant – a crisp noriinfused wafer topped with avocado purée and Petrossian Ossetra Royal
caviar. Other highlights include the ChooChee Lobster – a sweetsavory red curry with lobster with pineapple and red peppers – along with the Black Cod inspired by gindara kasuzuke, a traditional Japanese recipe.
With its coveted position on the slopes, an intimate scale, and the option to privatise the entire property, Maya Hotel Courchevel 1850 has been designed as a sanctuary of calm and elegance at the heart of a world-class ski destination. The opening marks a significant milestone for Maya Collection as it expands its footprint across the world’ s most desirable locations, with Maya Hotel West Palm Beach debuting in 2026 within the exclusive Biba Social Club.
