Recently refurbished by Sunreef Yachts to address the wear from past adventures and equipped to face upcoming challenges , Pangaea serves as the home base for “ What ’ s Left .”
Pangaea was named after the supercontinent that existed hundreds of million years ago . Today , like the supercontinent once did , she serves as one global reunion place , as well as a mobile platform for research , adventure and meaningful experiences .
With the equivalent of 25 circumnavigations of the world at her helm , Pangaea is designed as a 4x4 of the oceans , allowing her to sail to the most remote corners of the globe .
Greenland , is one of the last great wilderness areas on Earth and a secluded and often overlooked part of the globe . Contrary to common belief , the Arctic is closely linked to the rest of the world , with global implications for its happenings . Greenland , therefore , emerges as the perfect starting point for this new adventure .
The journey will continue with a trip to the Arctic , followed by visits to the Amazon , Patagonia and Antarctica . Exploring North Siberia and Alaska will allow the team to complete comprehensive global research .
