BEING BOVET

200 YEARS OF THE HUMAN TOUCH IN LUXURY WATCHMAKING

In a world where more and more products are made on an assembly line , BOVET breaks the mold by applying the human touch to its high watchmaking masterpieces , throughout every step of the process .
Founded 200 years ago this year , in 1822 , BOVET has a long history of creating beautiful pieces of watchmaking art , as well as a heritage of innovation that continues today .
It doesn ’ t get much more picturesque or storybook perfect than the setting of the House of BOVET ’ s headquarters -- an actual 14th-century castle in the legendary Valde-Travers , Switzerland , the cradle of high watchmaking .
But , wait , it gets better .
The Chateau de Môtiers was once actually owned by the Bovet family , the founders of the House . Fleurier , the village visible from the ramparts of the castle , is where the Bovet dynasty was born .
In 2001 , Mr . Pascal Raffy , a watch collector , was approached to take over the house . He agreed on one condition , to put BOVET back in its rightful position atop the watch industry . He then added in-house manufacturing capabilities , as well as the castle , cementing the legacy and the future of BOVET .
