Avontuur ’ s interiors feature heavy use of oak wood and white stone , as well as ‘ raw concrete ’ colours in the bathroom for a clean , modern and timeless effect . As her designer highlights : “ The last thing I wanted was to create some kind of ‘ fashion ’ interior where you have to throw everything away after only a few years because it ’ s no longer on trend . With the interior of Avontuur , I feel that it will stand the test of time and still look contemporary in 10-15 years ’ time .”
He continues : “ What I am most proud of on this project is the perspective you get when you look from the aft of the boat , all the way to the forward part of the boat . You can see all of the aft part from the galley in one clear view – which is quite rare to find on a yacht . This also means that there is a huge amount of light coming into the interior of the boat , which creates a wonderful atmosphere on board .”
The vessel ’ s initial layout from the yard included four staterooms , comprising an owner ’ s cabin , a VIP cabin , and two twin cabins with the crew quarters located aft of the engine room . However , Avontuur ’ s owner opted for a different configuration , featuring just three guest cabins and also integrating the crew quarters into her guest space .
