To mark the occasion of the reinvention of 30 Avenue Montaigne – the beating heart of the House , transformed after two years of renovation – Dior is presenting an exceptional diamond , named , as a tribute to the legendary address , Le Montaigne .
Discovered in 2020 , in South Africa ’ s historic Kimberley Mine , this 150-carat rough diamond fascinates with its dazzling beauty . Dior has declared its desire to see such a singular , bewitching stone included in its unique patrimony , on one condition : that the diamond , once cut , must weigh precisely 88.88 carats , echoing the number 8 , which is inseparable from the Dior legacy . After nine months of studying , modeling , cutting – carried out by master gem cutters with virtuoso savoir-faire – and then certification , Le Montaigne reveals its intense yellow hues , the clarity of its glints and its incomparable brilliance .
Displayed in the new boutique at 30 Avenue Montaigne for its inauguration , it will then be mounted on a custom-made piece designed by Victoire de Castellane , Artistic Director of Dior Joaillerie . An ode to the infinite creativity of the House and the excellence of its ateliers .
