LUXURY HOMES

THE ART OF DESIGN

WITH AN IMPACT

Timeless aesthetics , combined with natural materials - from this unfolds the harmony of minimalism and functionality that MAOMI stands for and that makes the woman-led design label from Germany so unique .
The furniture and home accessories are made in traditional and fair handicraft by artists and creators from Europe and all over the world . The designs are created by Dr . Uta Meeder . She is inspired by natural materials or handicraft techniques and guided by her intuition , resulting in design products that are characterised by quality , durability and sustainability .
“ The fact that I didn ’ t study design makes me free . I don ’ t follow any fixed rules because I don ’ t know them .” Instead , Meeder develops traditions further , in a respectful way and in collaboration with craftspeople from all over the world . In this way , she brings the tried and trusted into the modern age , preserving it from oblivion .
Uta Meeder ’ s award-winning products repeatedly find their way to various trade fairs around the world - whether Paris or New York . For example , the “ Phone Home SLEEPING BEAR ” made of stoneware and produced in Sri Lanka ( picture above ). Meeder always attaches great importance to ecological and social fairness in her products , visits the producers on site and convinces herself of the respectful and appreciative working conditions .
This trusting cooperation with a porcelain artist from Vietnam , a Turkish producer of cutting boards made of olive wood or with the bathtub produced by traditional wine barrel manufacturing results in products that combine modernity with tradition and functionality with quality of life .
