ARTIST USES HIS PASSION FOR MOTORSPORTS AS MONACO GALLERY INSPIRATION …

AN ACCLAIMED artist has used his childhood involvement with motorsports as the inspiration to launch his new gallery .
Yorkshire-born Alan Walsh spent his formative years at circuits such as Silverstone , Monaco and Monza alongside his car designer dad and even had a brief spell racing karts in a team with Lewis Hamilton .
And now that love of speed can be seen on the walls of his gallery at Rue Grimaldi in the heart of Monaco – an accomplishment made even more special as it also marks a comeback from ill-health .
Alan , has created artwork for some of the world ’ s biggest brands including Coca Cola , Bombay Sapphire , Tag Heuer , Porsche and Sir Paul Smith , along with being one of the founders behind the Artisan Drinks Company .
However his career was in jeopardy in 2019 , when a routine medical check showed he had a basal cell carcinoma above one of his eyes – leading to him losing his sight .
“ What should have been a quick , simple operation turned into a nightmare ,” said Alan .
