Stylish- Reliable- Silent
MILES BISHTON has been painting and drawing since his school days. When leaving comprehensive he started a job at a purpose made wood work company and completed his five year apprenticeship as a wood machinist. In later years he became a self taught furniture maker and most of his work was creating bedroom furniture. When getting back into painting he began to develop a style
with women figures and tall buildings, and today carries on with that same theme.

SMALL KITCHENS, SMART DESIGN: INSIGHT FROM LIFE TRADE
As urban living continues to shape modern home design, compact kitchens are becoming increasingly common, creating opportunities to demonstrate the value of intelligent planning and innovative storage solutions. Today’ s consumers expect compact kitchens to work harder than ever, delivering functionality, organisation and style in equal measure.
Paul Berryman, Head of Life Trade, says“ Storage remains a key consideration. Rather than relying on traditional cupboards and drawers, designers are increasingly incorporating specialist storage systems that improve accessibility and make use of otherwise wasted space such as pull-out larders, base cabinet organisers and internal drawer accessories. Corner cabinets can be transformed with modern storage mechanisms while tall larder units provide significant storage capacity within a relatively small footprint. To create a seamless, streamlined kitchen, it’ s key to reduce visual clutter. Integrated appliances create a cohesive feel as they can be hidden flush behind your cabinetry. This removes bulky units and prevents any awkward gaps,
resulting in better visual flow. Handleless cabinetry also helps contribute to clean, uninterrupted lines throughout the space and helps the feeling of openness. By minimising unnecessary details, compact kitchens feel larger and more organised. Light-reflective worktops, splashbacks and cabinet finishes help bounce light around the room, creating a brighter and more inviting environment. Gloss finishes, polished stone surfaces and reflective glass splashbacks are particularly effective at maximising light and adding depth.”
