Designed by Mandelli Pagliarulo, Coney is a seating collection that evokes leisure, joy and conviviality, combining functionality, comfort and a highly graphical visual impact.“ The name is a clear reference to the peninsula and neighbourhood of New York known as Coney Island. Its famous beaches, amusement parks and the idea of a funfair that this name evokes are auspicious images” – explain the designers. Coney barstool introduces a new element to the collection,
distinguished by its essential lines, visual lightness and mono-material frame in curved steel tube, which ensures durability and strength. Outdoor spaces are not defined by seating alone. They also include complementary elements designed to create welcoming and cohesive environments, such as Ikon Twist, designed by Pio & Tito Toso. A table that evolves the conical base of the Ikon collection, reinterpreting it through a new material aesthetic that enhances its volume. The base is wrapped with a polypropylene rope, designed to withstand outdoor conditions while maintaining its aesthetic and performance over time.
The physical and visual lightness of aluminium is what makes Estratto particularly suited to outdoor settings. Designed by Formafantasma, Estratto is a collection of mono-material coffee tables and consoles made entirely from aluminium. The designers’ interest in materials with a genuine potential for circularity, combined with Pedrali manufacturing expertise, has given rise to a collection defined by a strong material identity, exploring the technical and narrative potential of aluminium extrusion as a potentially endless process. The base of Estratto is composed of three concave aluminium extrusions that, when joined together, ensure structural stability while leaving the internal cavity empty, creating an elegant interplay of solids and voids. The concave shape modulates and reflects light, enhancing depth and three-dimensionality, while also allowing for easy and functional combinations.
