CASE STUDY: A LUXURIOUS SANCTUARY
THE BRIEF
As homeowners of a luxurious London property, the clients for this project wanted a complete redesign of their existing bathroom, with a focus on brightness, calm, and timeless elegance. The challenge was to create a space that combined functionality with refined aesthetics, suitable for both daily use and as a sanctuary to relax in.
Key for the design, was combining a well-lit space with luxurious materials in a sophisticated colour palette coupled with bespoke storage solutions to achieve a clutter-free aesthetic.
THE DESIGN SOLUTION
Calling on their expertise in designing luxurious and practical spaces, the Kallums Bathrooms team approached the project with a strategy rooted in precision, balance, and functionality. The design focused on three key principles: enhancing light, maintaining spatial harmony, and ensuring enduring quality.
With space often at a premium in London homes when it comes to the bathroom, Kallums Bathrooms design team needed to ensure all key elements of a well-planned bathroom were included in the design.
This has been achieved by using sleek furniture and accessories, a barely-there shower enclosure and mirrors to reflect the light and increase the feeling of space.
Selected for its hardwearing properties, a duo of sophisticated porcelains have been used for surfaces and flooring, while luxurious fittings and accessories provide a warm metallic contrast without overpowering the neutral palette.
In the absence of any natural light, recessed ceiling down lights have been combined with accent lighting to create a practical and atmospheric space- whatever the time of day.
Bespoke vanity units were installed to ensure there is plenty of storage across the space while thoughtful positioning of sanitary ware, the generous shower area and stylish, contemporary bath ensure the bathroom combines style and practical use.
