CONCEPT:
Set against a verdant backdrop in Bangalore, Sienna Nest emerges as a quiet meditation on contemporary Indian luxury, a home where elegance is never loud, and design flows like a whispered story. Envisioned by the design team of The KariGhars, the villa is a nuanced response to its natural surroundings and to the clients’ deep affinity for nature. Rather than recreating nature through obvious tropes, the designers chose to echo its temperament: calm, harmonious, and timeless.
The home unfolds as a tactile experience, where restraint is the defining grammar. Walls, floors, and surfaces are wrapped in a gentle palette of creams, pastels, and warm beiges that allow light to wash through the interiors, creating spaces that feel effortlessly luminous. Every decision, from the inlayed marble murals to the subtle curves of furniture, reflects a design philosophy anchored in softness and emotional resonance.
Upon entry, a handcrafted feature wall sets the tone: inspired by temple ponds, the marble surface is etched with lotus motifs, further embellished with mother-of-pearl and brass inlays. This foyer moment
becomes a tactile introduction to the home’ s narrative, one that blends traditional craftsmanship with modern sensibility. The story continues in the living room, where a sculpted 3D leaf installation becomes both an artwork and a texture that interacts delicately with natural light. Opposite it, a gold wing-like sculpture acts as a moment of quiet drama, evoking a sense of weightless movement within the stillness of the space.
Throughout the villa, the design team maintains a disciplined balance. Every room is allowed its hero moment, while the rest of the space recedes into a cohesive, tranquil background. In the bedrooms, this takes the form of soft-toned walls and furnishings punctuated with fresh accents of colour through bed linen or art. Even the media room, wrapped in muted tones, offers warmth and tactility through tan leather seating
