REIMAGINING AN INVISIBLE HOUSE: DKT INTERIOR DESIGN STUDIO REDESIGNS BRITAIN’ S MOST ELUSIVE HOME
In the quiet countryside of Warwickshire, hidden behind a veil of mirrored glass and architectural intrigue, sits one of the UK’ s most enigmatic homes: the Invisible House.
Known for its striking exterior and controversial modernist design, the property made headlines across the globe when it was listed for sale in 2023. Now, thanks to an extraordinary redesign by Londonbased DKT Interior Design Studio, the house has been transformed from an architectural spectacle into a home with heart.
While the exterior of the Invisible House has always captured public imagination, a mirrored façade that dissolves into the surrounding landscape, the interiors once told a different story. Stark, cold, and almost clinical in their minimalism, the inside of the home felt more like a gallery than a place to live. It was this dissonance that prompted designers Dhilnawaaz Khan Trotman and Annahita Samiri of DKT to reimagine the property not as an object to look at but as a sanctuary to experience.
“ We wanted to turn it from an object into a home,” says Dhil.“
