THE AUTHENTIC BELGIAN BLUE STONE
Our blue stone tables are crafted from authentic Belgian blue stone , known as “ La Pierre Bleue du Hainaut ”. This natural and authentic material originates from the Belgian subsoil , dating back 350 million years to when a tropical sea covered the region . Belgian blue stone is characterised by many fossils , cemented in a micro-crystalline gangue containing very finely divided carbon , which gives the limestone its blue greyish colour .
